Westborough firefighters found the woman dead inside the home when they arrived at the 55 Belknap Street blaze, Fire Chief Patrick Purcell told Daily Voice. Investigators believe the woman was older than 65 and lived there, but officials haven't released her identity.

Purcell said the woman's daughter called 911 around 1:45 p.m. when she saw smoke coming from the house. Firefighters found the woman's body in the living room, and Purcell said the fire likely started in that room. Though, officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

Purcell added that he doesn't believe it was intentionally set.

Several small propane tanks stored on the home's deck exploded during the fire, Purcell added, which complicated things for firefighters.

One Westborough firefighter and police officer were also injured, the Department of Fire Services reports. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
